Grgich Hills Estate Wine Dinner

The Wine Shop in Koloa, in partnership with the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa is hosting a wine makers dinner featuring Grgich Hills Estate wines poured by Co-proprietor and Vice President Violet Grgich, as well as delicacies created by Chef de Cuisine Alexis Gutierrez. The festivities begin at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, November 18th at the Dondero’s Restaurant at the Grand Hyatt at a cost of $120 all-inclusive per person.
The 5-courses and their respective wine pairings are as follows:
Assorted cheeses, fruits, crackers and bread
Grgich Hills Fume Blanc 2012
Hamachi Crudo with garlic chili oil, jalapeno, ponzu and micro wasabi
Grgich Hills Chardonnay 2011
Red Wine Braised Short Rib with Gorgonzola polenta, slow roasted shallots, and caramelized brussel sprouts
Grgich Hills Cabernet Sauvignon 2010
“Char Siu” Leg of Lamb with tomato fregula “risotto,” eggplant caponata and pine nuts
Grgich Hills Zinfandel 2010
Black Forest Tiramisu with Italian mascarpone mousse, chocolate rum ganache, flourless chocolate cake, espresso soak and amarena cherries
