After a great deal of extremely fun research, I happy to announce the launch of two new food tours. I’ve partnered with amazing people who have a passion for great food and whose cups overflow with aloha. These new Kauai food tours introduce guests to our favorite places and people who make fresh food from scratch, using local ingredients whenever possible. I selected each location based on the hundreds of articles I’ve written about food and farming on Kauai and I also teamed up with a professional tour guide.
Hukilau Lanai has made some changes to their dynamite tasting menu. It’s also a great deal. From 5 to 5:45 p.m., five courses of fine dining for only $32. If you add wine, it’s $50.00. A gluten-free menu is also available, so ask the server when you order. Reservations are required, to make them visit the Hukilau Lanai Kauai website. Niihau Lamb Sausage has replaced the house-made longanisa and the popular candied ahi has made its way to the regular menu. Here’s a look at the new tasting menu:
The Kauai Chapter of the Hawaii Farmers Union United will be hosting an AgriTourism Panel on Wednesday, September 10th at 6pm, at the Anahola Clubhouse as a part of their monthly meeting and local food potluck. The public is encouraged to bring a dish and a friend, and join in the discussion on supporting local food producers.
